Demolition work begins for Darwen residential scheme
Demolition work has begun to transform Elizabeth House in Darwen into 46 houses.The £5.2m development will replace the former Together Housing scheme. Half of the properties will be bungalows for older people and half will be three-bedroom family homes, and all will be available for affordable rent.Demolition is expected to last four to six weeks, with the total development set to be completed by the end of 2017.Together Housing’s construction partner Bardsley Construction will create four new partnerships as part of the contract.
