Loungers, five guys and co-op food join university green
Loungers, Five Guys and Co-op Food will all join the line-up at the recently launched University Green scheme on Manchester’s Oxford Road, it has been revealed.Loungers will occupy a 3,175 sq ft unit designed by its in-house team.The neighbourhood-style café and bar will be open day and night all week round, with space for 120 covers.Meanwhile, American burger chain Five Guys will open a 3,175 sq ft ground-floor restaurant designed by Blacksheep.And Co-op Food will take a 4,656 sq ft unit. All three sites are due to open in the summer of 2018 shortly after completion of the scheme.The deals were announced by commercial property company Bruntwood and the University of Manchester. University Green forms part of the university’s £1bn campus masterplan and redevelopment.
