110 homes earmarked for ex-tobacco warehouse site
A 110-home scheme rising up to seven storeys high could soon be built on the site of a former tobacco warehouse in north Liverpool under newly submitted plans.Trophy Homes has lodged an outline planning application with Liverpool City Council to transform a 32,787 sq ft vacant area of land on Commercial Road that used to accommodate a British American Tobacco warehouse. The warehouse was demolished in 1991.The rectangular plot earmarked for regeneration near Sandhills station is currently owned by Trophy Homes.The applicant is proposing to construct two linked blocks of between four and seven storeys with secure undercroft parking. All of the homes in the H-shaped scheme would be private, with no affordable homes.The scheme has been designed by SNOW architects. The agent and planning consultant is Euan Kellie Property Solutions.Liverpool City Council has not yet set a date to consider the application.
