Holiday park bought by PE-backed operator
A 40-acre caravan and camping park in Devon has been bought by a Milton Keynes-headquartered private equity-backed holiday park operator.Hedley Wood Caravan and Camping Park was sold off-market to Bridge Leisure, which is backed by Phoenix Equity Partners, in a deal brokered by Colliers International.Hedley Wood is set in 40 acres of woodland close to the market town of Holsworthy. It currently comprises a range of static caravans, plus pitches for camping and caravanning.There is also the potential for further investment and development with planning permission in place for 400 touring caravans, 40 static caravans and the storage of 200 touring caravans.Milton Keynes-based Bridge Leisure was acquired by its management team together with private equity firm Phoenix Equity Partners in 2015.
