Former victoria ground set for housing development
The site of Stoke City’s old Victoria Ground, which has been empty for more than 20 years, is set to be transformed with 200 new homes, a park and school sports fields.Stoke-on-Trent City Council has welcomed the proposals for Stoke City’s former home located next to the A500 in Stoke.St Modwen Homes is behind the two-phased planning application for the site and expects to submit a formal planning application before the end of May.It is proposed that, in the first phase of plans for the 16 acre site, 130 homes will be built directly off Boothen Old Road while 70 homes will be built between the school and A500 in the second phase.
