The current contract for Motor vehicles in Truro is projected to end on 7/6/2018 and may be available for re-tender.The current contract for Motor vehicles in Truro included to purchase vehicles between 3.0 Tonnes GVW and 44 Tonnes GVW through a Framework Tender split into 2 Lots:Lot 1 (3000 Kgs GVW to 7500 Kgs GVW).Lot 2 (7501 Kgs GVW to 44000 Kgs GVW).The majority of vehicles purchased will be powered by diesel engines.For vehicles in this tender it is anticipated that the tenderer(s) will supply additional bodywork as appropriate for operational use. In practice this will mean fitting out standard minibuses/panel vans to make them suitable for disabled access, or fitting chassis cab vehicles with a variety of commercial bodywork.The contract includes the provision of parts, tools and equipment and training. This support will be required for up to six years following the expiry of the vehicle purchasing contract.A Contract for the purchase of vehicles up to 4.5 tonnes GVW is being offered at the same time as this Contract. Vehicles in the range of 3.0 to 4.5 tonnes GVW can therefore be purchased from either Contract depending on the price and suitability to meet the Council’s requirements, as set out in the Tender documents.
