Green light for £50 million residential scheme on site in Chilwell
A £50 million residential scheme on a brownfield site in Chilwell, Greater Nottingham, has been given the green light.The plans, which were presented by Farland Developments, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community and Bartons plc, were approved by Broxtowe Borough Council.The 12-acre site, formerly home to Barton Transport, will be developed to create 250 homes, including affordable properties, and green space.The homes are designed to reflect the heritage of the Barton Transport site, leaving a lasting legacy for one of Nottingham’s best known companies and incorporating the character of the area, with construction due to start in Autumn 2017.
