Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Baggage-handling equipment. Gatwick Airport is seeking suppliers with proven experience and capability to provide dummy (customised) Unit Load Devices (ULDs also referred to as ‘Cans’) and Dollies (trailer device used to transport ‘Cans’), on behalf of Gatwick and our Ground Handling Community. Gatwick and its Ground handling Community require 190 qty dummy ULDs and 160 Dollies to fulfil the service demands of the newly constructed Pier 1 when enters into operation in September 2015.While General Assembly drawings and specifications are available, neither detailed drawings nor computerised modelling data are available. It is intended for the awarded bidder(s) to have a proficient supply chain capable ‘design for manufacture’ and of reverse engineering ‘as built’ products that are located at Gatwick Airport and incorporating any additional design or specification data that will be supplied in conjunction with this ITT activity.
