The luminaires will be fitted to the existing lighting columns by the Contracting Authority’s nominated Contractor/Direct Services (DS), therefore installation will not be a requirement of this contract. The lantern shall be of aluminium construction and it would be preferable that a 350ma Driver is used however the Contracting Authority will consider other options. The colour temperature of the supplied luminaire will fall within the range of 3600K and 4400K.
The Contracting Authority wish to develop innovative solutions which are environmentally, economically and socially sustainable and in particular to realise the value of waste as a natural resource. The Contractor must ensure that any residual waste is sustainably managed and limits its contribution to climate change.
The tender process is being carried out by Stockton on Tees Borough Council on behalf of Stockton on Tees Borough Council, however both Darlington Borough Council and Hartlepool Borough Council will have the opportunity to use this framework agreement. Each authority will use the contract as a framework to act individually making direct arrangements with the suppliers.
