However, this contract may also be used by any local authority in the South West region of England, a list of which can be at . It may also be used by the Avon & Somerset Constabulary, the Avon Fire & Rescue Service, the University of Bristol, the University of the West of England, the University of Bath, and NHS trusts in the Bristol area, a list of which can be found at . The Framework Agreement will also be utilised by all Education service groups across North Somerset Council, including maintained schools, grant schools and possibly Academies.

Short description of the contract or purchase(s): North Somerset Council wish to appoint a Provider to undertake reactive and planned / minor maintenance works to the North Somerset Council Property Estate, as required.
The contract will comprise of the following specific areas; maintenance of domestic and commercial kitchen equipment, painting and decorating, carpentry and handyman services, plumbing services and electrical services and multi trade planned and minor works. All of these elements will need to be delivered via this one single contract. The aim is to maximise supply chain opportunities for SME’s and the awarded provider will be expected to demonstrate their commitment to this.
This contract is for a three year framework agreement with the possibility of an extension by one year with an approximate value of GBP 2,500,000 per annum.
This framework arrangement will be a call off contract. The Council intends to use this arrangement for all of its schools and non-school premises. There is a possibility to offer this arrangement to academies within the district and other public sector bodies.
