Short description of the contract or purchase(s): London Borough of Camden currently maintains approximately 800 pay and display machines on street for parking and we are looking to replace approximately half of these and to fully remove the remainder. This framework is split into two lots, one for the provision, installation of new machines and removal of old machines (including the ongoing supply of parts and consumables); and one for the maintenance of the machines for three years post installation, with the option for a further one year extension.
In addition, there is the option for the London Boroughs of Hackney, Islington and Newham to utilise this framework.
Tenderers can bid for either lot 1 only (supply of machines and cover during warranty period) or lots 1 and 2 (supply and ongoing maintenance, post warranty).
The machines’ removal and potential reinstatement will be phased over the first year of the framework. There will be an option to purchase additional machines over the duration of the contract.
The council will be looking for machines that are reliable, reduce on-going costs for maintenance and energy, in addition to supporting integration with other technology that is in use to provide options for drivers to park legally compliant manner.
In addition, to the framework being available for Camden to use some other London boroughs (Hackney, Newham and Islington) have expressed an interest in the framework.
