Work to begin on Leeds City College development
Construction work on the new £57m Leeds City College development is set to begin next week ahead of an opening in 2019.Representatives from Leeds City College, the West Yorkshire Combined Authority, Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership, Wates Construction, and Leeds City Council will gather for a ground-breaking ceremony at the future campus in Quarry Hill on Monday 31 July, at 10.30am.The project will take two years to complete and the campus will be home to the Leeds City College creative and digital arts and health and social sciences departments.The new campus has been part-funded by a £33.4m grant from the Leeds City Region Local Growth Deal, administered by the Leeds City Region Enterprise Partnership.Work is expected to be complete by summer 2019, ready for the 2019/2020 academic year.
