The St Michael’s Partnership is set to showcase further details about its radically altered plans to transform the Jackson’s Row area of Manchester city centre, with footballer-turned-developer Gary Neville saying that the team is “more committed than ever to ensuring that St Michael’s will become a world-class development”.A first public consultation event for the new-look mixed-use scheme was held in July with the majority of respondents welcoming the news that the Sir Ralph Abercromby pub and the former Bootle Street Police Station frontage would now be preserved. The scheme was redesigned and amended in response to feedback from the public and key stakeholders. Now a second public consultation event will give viewers an opportunity to view the latest designs for the project, including further detail on the facades and treatments of the commercial, residential and hotel space. The exhibition will also reveal the intention around the design and animation of the outdoor spaces. The event forms part of an ongoing consultant process, which will continue until a planning application is submitted to Manchester City Council in the autumn of 2017.Members of the public are invited to attend to view the plans, discuss the proposals with members of the St Michael’s project team, and provide feedback. The public consultation event will take place in the Grand Hall at Manchester’s Royal Exchange Theatre from 11am to 7pm on Wednesday, 23 August.
