£90m DfT contract win for Interserve
Interserve has won a new five-year contract worth £90m to provide total facilities management services for the Department for Transport (DfT).The Reading-headquartered international support services and construction group said the contract covers facilities at 11 departments – the DfT and nine of its agencies, plus the Environment Agency.Interserve will provide a range of services including, engineering, cleaning, security, reception, landscaping and ground maintenance, helpdesk, porterage, mail room, and catering at more than 1,100 buildings across the whole of the UK. It is the first time all 11 departments’ facilities management services will be handled by a single provider.
