A pipeline has been launched for Aerohub Business Park – Phase 1 (Plot 2)The contract start Date is 02 January 2018. Approach to market date is 22 September 2017The project utilises the EU Growth Programme (2014-2020) and has progressed through the Workspace ‘Call’ process for ERDF investment to Full Application stageThe Council seeks to appoint a suitably accredited and demonstrably experienced Principal Contractor to undertake the design and construction of the Aerohub Business Park – Phase 1 (Plot 2) under an NEC 3 Engineering & Construction Contract (Option A) to BREEAM Excellent standard. The design works are complete to a RIBA 4 and the successful contractor is required to undertake necessary due diligence for architectural, civil engineering, MEP engineering, landscaping to allow construction of the worksThe construction works shall comprise site works including site access roads, earthworks, enabling works, statutory services connections to existing, access roads, car parks, landscaping and drainage. The works shall include the construction of a high quality three storey office facility and 8 light industrial units across 2 blocks.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
