Buntingford 95 home Hare Street development plan recommended for approval
An application to build 95 homes in Buntingford has been recommended for approval by planning officers. The plans submitted by Letchworth GC company Wheatley Homes are set to go before East Herts District Council’s (EHDC) development management committee on Wednesday (September 13).Under the proposals 95 homes with garages and parking will be built on land off Owles Lane and Snells Mead, just south off Hare Street Road, in Buntingford. The application includes a mix of residential and affordable housing, with 38 of the 95 properties marked as being affordable. Hazel Izod, the application case officer, has recommended that the plans are granted planning permission with several conditions. These include making sure that all the on-site vehicular areas on the development are finished before any residents move into the houses. This would mean all of the internal access roads, forecourts, garages, carports and external parking spaces are all accessible, surfaced and marked out and fully completed.
