Housebuilder to lodge Kirkham plans
Story Homes is set to lodge detailed plans to build 170 homes in Kirkham.The housebuilder intends to consult with key stakeholders and residents next to the site at Brook Farm in Dowbridge before submitting a reserved matters planning application to Fylde Borough Council in the autumn of 2017.Outline planning consent for 170 homes was recently granted on the site.Story Homes is proposing a mix of one-, two-, three-, four- and five-bedroom homes, of which 30 per cent would be affordable. The developer would also contribute more than £1m for the provision of local school places, £15,000 towards pedestrian and cycle improvements at Kirkham and Wesham train station, and £170,000 towards public transport improvements in the local area.
