Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council (MBC) is looking to contract with a provider to develop and operate a flexible, innovative Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) Programme that is focussed on increasing community resilience and supporting the communities of Tameside in using their own assets to tackle the issues that affect their lives.
The service provider will be required to:
– implement an asset based community development programme
– develop a multi-layered Tameside Joint Strategic Asset Assessment (JSAA), based on local asset mapping, to complement the Tameside Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) and inform strategic commissioning.
– develop, manage and distribute funds for asset based community grants
– develop and implement an effective evaluation of the programme that captures the impact of ABCD in communities, demonstrates a contribution to the reduction in health inequalities and effectively contributes to the evidence base for ABCD.
A maximum contract price of 373 000 GBP per annum is budgeted to deliver this programme which includes an allocation for asset based community grants, which as a minimum should equal 80 000 GBP.
