900-home Taunton scheme gets the go-ahead
Plans to develop more than 900 new homes, a primary school and employment land on a site in Taunton have been given the green light.Pegasus Group has secured planning permission on behalf of the applicant for the Staplegrove East site.The development will comprise have 915 residential units, a primary school, 2.5-acres of employment land, a local centre, and open space including allotments and sports pitches, green infrastructure, landscaping, woodland planting and sustainable drainage systems.A spine road will connect the A358 Staplegrove Road to Kingston Road at Staplegrove East, Taunton.The scheme will also generate new construction jobs and spend in the region’s economy, as well as providing an enhanced habitat for bats through off-site planting.
