M6 service station plans set for green light
Plans for a new service station on the M6 which include a 100-bedroom hotel have been recommended for approval.Applicant Moto is seeking permission from Rugby Borough Council to demolish a farm building to make way for the new development north of Junction 1.If approved at a meeting of the authority’s planning committee next week (8 November 2017), the hotel would be joined by a main building with 42,614 sq ft of internal space housing a restaurant, shops, tourist information and a games/leisure area.There would also be a drive-thru coffee shop and a petrol station.
