Plans lodged for Prescot housing
Plans have been lodged for a major housing development on a former industrial site in Prescot.Acting on behalf of Taylor Wimpey, HOW Planning has submitted a reserved matters application to Knowsley Council for 173 new homes on land at the former Prysmian Cables site on Carr Lane. The proposal forms part of a wider mixed-use scheme that was approved in outline in late 2016.The 11.9-acre plot forms part of a wider area that previously contained a series of buildings associated with a cable manufacturing complex. Outline approval for the wider scheme comprises a total of up to 750 new homes and up to 10,000 sq ft of commercial/industrial buildings.The site has now been cleared and the roads constructed to service the proposed new homes.
