II.2.4) Description of the procurement
Recently shortlisted for the Times Higher Education University of the Year 2017, Northumbria University at Newcastle seeks to appoint suitable vendor(s) to deliver this key and prestigious contract during 2018.
The University has 2 large campuses located in Newcastle. City Campus, located in the centre of Newcastle upon Tyne, is divided into City Campus East and City Campus West and the second campus is located at Coach Lane, approx. 4 Km from the heart of the Newcastle. A third campus (opened in 2014) and located in central London concentrates mainly on business courses offering postgraduate Master of Science degrees in Marketing, Financial Management and International management. The University is international in its operations and reach, with programmes delivered in Newcastle upon Tyne, London and worldwide.
The University is looking to make a significant investment in a range of Engineering Educational Training Solution packages that will be deployed to key partner institutions located in Brazil, Columbia and Cuba.
We will invite bids from potential partners who can furnish the full requirements of this contract opportunity following the closure of this Prior Information Notice. The contract will involve supply, design, installation, implementation, training and shipping of the consignment as per the defined scope that will be issued as part of the tender release.
As such, expressions of interest can be made via the University tender portal:
Expressions of interest should be accompanied by correspondence (via the portal) confirming which of the following elements (defined under the heading Engineering Educational Training Solutions Packages) you would be interested/consider providing a future tender response to:
Educational PEM Fuel Cell;
Photovoltaic Cell Training System;
Wind Turbine Training System and;
Rankine Cycle Steam Turbine.
Your response should also provide an indication of which of the following countries (and applicable institutions) you would be able to service as part of this contract opportunity:
Brazil — Universida de Federal de Itajuba (UNIFEI) and Universidade federal da bahia (UFBA);
Columbia — Universidad de Santander (UDES) and Universidad Industrial de Santander (UIS) and
Cuba — Universidad de Oriente (UDO) and Instituto Superior Politécnico José Antonio Echeverría.
