Short description of the contract or purchase(s): NHS Wales Shared Services Supply Chain are seeking bids from suitably resourced suppliers to be party to a framework for the supply of stores equipment and handling equipment for their stores across Wales. The framework will also include the provision for maintenance of the equipment and training on the equipment.
The Supply Chain function of NHS Wales provides a storage and logistics service to the Local Health Boards and Welsh Ambulance Services across the whole of Wales. The three main stores locations are based in Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan; Cwmbran Stores, Torfaen; and Denbigh Stores, Denbigh, north Wales. In addition to these locations there are also a number of sub stores at acute hospital sites at Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth; Glangwili General Hospital, Camarthen; University Hospital of Wales, Cardiff; Llandough Hospital, Vale of Glamorgan; Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital, Heverfordwest.
The call off arrangements from the framework will be a mixture of purchase and lease/rental. The specification included in the tender pack represents the current list of equipment which are both leased and owned. Supply Chain are unable to commit to a maximum or minimum number of call offs from the framework.
