Gym to be developed in prominent York building
A new gym is set to open in a prominent building in York city centre.The new facility is being developed at Stonebow House by motive8, which specialises in the design, installation and management of health and fitness facilities.Stonebow House, a 1960s brutalist building, is currently being redeveloped by Wetherby-based Oakgate Group with external works expected to be finished in spring this year. The gym will lease 8,800 sq ft on the remodelled ground floor and will offer a full range of gym equipment alongside studio space for classes, state of the art spa recovery zone and a licensed bar and restaurant. A full fit out will take place following the completion of external works with the opening scheduled for the end of the year.York-based Lawrence Hannah is sole agent marketing the commercial space at Stonebow House.
