The current contract for Health and social work services – Framework Lead is projected to end on 10-JAN-19 and may be available for retender. Tender for the Provision of a Garden Maintenance and Day Support Service at Supported Domestic Properties in Tameside.

The Service will have two components:
– A domestic gardening and grounds maintenance service delivered to a set number of supported domestic properties in Tameside. The service is delivered at supported properties where tenants have learning disabilities or mental ill-health.
– A day service element based around delivery of garden maintenance for two people with learning disabilities assessed as needing ongoing support and for whom the taking part in delivery of the service will meet some or all of their assessed needs, for which the service will provide five places a week, Monday to Friday.
The Service is currently delivered to 43 domestic properties in Tameside although this number may vary slightly from time-to-time.
Garden maintenance will include:
– cutting of lawns
– strimming of lawn edges
– turning over and neatening of established borders and planted beds
– pruning of shrubs, and trimming of hedges at or lower than 8 feet.
Garden maintenance will not include:
– tree felling/tree stump removal
– digging out and creation of borders
– scree or brush cutting (wild grasses)
– application of weed killing substances
– trimming of hedges above 8 feet
The contract is for a period of three years with the option to extend for up to 2 years and will commence 1.11.2015.
The award of the contract will be in keeping with a Best Value approach, which will jointly evaluate quality factors and price.
