Kier hired for two major projects
Bedfordshire-based property giant Kier has secured two major multimillion-pound contracts.In the largest of the two deals, Kier has been appointed by Public Health England to build a £160m specialist bioscience laboratory in Harlow, which will form part of a £400m public health science campus.Construction work is expected to begin in 2019 and the building is scheduled to be operational by 2023.The campus will be known as PHE Harlow and could employ up to 2,750 staff once complete.The £29m project is part of the university’s £100m redevelopment of its Jewellery Quarter campus in the centre of the city.
