Barratt Developments to invest up to £183 million in huge new housing scheme
Barratt Developments is teaming up with Swindon Borough Council to build 2,670 new homes on a 618 acre site.The Coalville housebuilder could invest up to £183 million over the next two decades – which includes half the building costs.As well as homes, there will be two primary schools, a secondary school and open space.Swindon Borough Council is providing the land – at Wichelstowe, to the south of the town – and the infrastructure already in place, while Barratt will fund the remaining infrastructure and a portion of affordable housing.
