Plans for new housing development as final phase of regeneration project in Glasgow’s east end
A new housing development is set to be created in the east end of Glasgow.A total of 52 properties will be built, if given planning permission by the council, which will bring to an end a 15-year regeneration project in the Barrowfield/Calmachie areas.The West of Scotland Housing Association initiative is being carried out by architects Anderson Bell and Christie.If given the green light by the local authority’s planning committee, there will be 12 three-story townhouses, five properties with wheelchair access, one maisonette and 34 general apartment blocks.
