The Awarding Authority requires the supply of steel reinforcement for incorporation within its slab track.
The steel should be of the following specification reinforced steel 85008; EN 10080; B500B with UK-approval
The first requirement is for 6,300 Tonnes, cut, bent, bundled and positioned in the following proportions:
10 mm – 24%
12 mm – 13%
14 mm – 3%
16 mm – 60%
The second requirement is for 12,000 Tonnes of bespoke steel mesh (drawings to be released as part of tender)
The third requirement is for 210 Tonnes of reinforcement mesh steel; EN 10080; R257; with UK-approval

The Awarding Authority is currently bidding for the supply of slabtrack to HS2. The awarding authority are committed to deliver against HS2’s strategic goals and objectives and recognise that we need to collaborate with a capable and diverse supply chain to do so.
Shortlisted suppliers will be invited to provide quotations and complete a Request for Information to assist Tarmac/Max Boegl in its bid. The Request for Information will be aligned to HS2’s strategic goals and objectives – to be a catalyst for growth across Britain.
If successful in its bid, Tarmac/Max Boegl will work with it’s supply chain to deliver a best value solutions HS2. This may involve further tendering exercises and collaboration to ensure that best value is delivered at lowest risk to our client.
