United Kingdom-Newcastle upon Tyne: Construction work for university buildings – Framework Lead

The current contract for Construction work for university buildings – Framework Lead is projected to end on 16-MAR-19 and may be available for retender. (NU/1044) Main Contractor for Richardson Road Student Accommodation.
This project is for a new build student accommodation scheme including circa 1 303 bedroom units (6 blocks) and a sports centre. Existing accommodation and the boiler house will be demolished and works undertaken to make the area good for future use. A turnkey approach is required for this project and main contractor will provide pre-constructed pod units or a traditional construction solution which will be fully fitted with furniture fixtures and equipment which the main contractor will be required to source as part of the contract prior to site location and construction in block formation. The project will be delivered to BIM Level 2 and a soft landings process has been adopted by the University which the main contractor will need to incorporate.
