The Sêr SAM Program at the awarding authority wishes to procure a Micromanipulator Probe Station with cryogenic capabilities capable of sensitive electrical measurements in a controlled atmosphere. The ‘Probe Station’ consists of three basic elements:
Cryogenic System capable of accurate control of the measurement sample temperature;
A Measurement Chamber with controlled atmosphere (including vacuum) consisting of micro-manipulation electrical measurement probes and suitable sample holders – this chamber should be vibration isolated and capable of sensitive electrical measurements (including photo-electrical); ideally the chamber should also be portable to enable sample loading in a controlled atmosphere such as a glove box or a transfer chamber provided;
An Optical Microscope to facilitate micro-probe contacting and sample micro-manipulation.
