Approval nears for Cheshire homes

Plans to build more than 450 homes across Cheshire – which would bring about economic benefits including the creation of jobs and additional trade for businesses in the area – look set to be approved. However, as the plot has been identified for development within the Cheshire East Local Plan, it has proposed a number of measures be enforced should the application be approved. These concerns community infrastructure, development impact and traffic.Elsewhere, representations were received from 82 properties over two periods of consultation. The main points of objection were the impact on the local highway, the disturbance from the construction process, a loss of green belt and a current lack of local health facilities.Despite this, the application has been recommended for approval subject to a legal agreement.
