Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Great Yarmouth Borough Council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced organisations to carry out small building works and disabled adaptations, including the installation of stairlifts and wash/dry toilets and also handyperson services. These requirements will be divided into two lots and it is intended to create a framework of providers for each lot. The duration of the framework will be four years commencing 1.4.2015.
Lot 1 – Private Sector Housing:
The current expenditure is approximately GBP 800 000 per annum. The framework for this lot will be awarded on the basis of quality elements and will be subject to the agreement of fixed rates, with specialist and larger scale works traditionally tendered. Contracts within this framework lot will then be placed dependant on quality and delivery timescales.
Lot 2 – GY Community Housing:
The current expenditure is approximately GBP 450 000 per annum. The framework for this lot will be awarded on the basis of most advantageous tender including cost, quality and delivery timescales.
