Short description of the contract or purchase(s): Natural England is intending on letting a Framework contract to provide clear, accurate and targeted advice and information to farmers, other land managers and their advisers on environmentally sustainable land management, This Framework will be used by the Defra Network Agencies and Bodies in order to provide an integrated streamlined advice across a range of themes responsible to those different bodies including schemes supported by the Rural Development Programme for England under the European Union Common Agriculture Policy.
The main objectives of the framework are to:
– Provide advice and raise awareness and understanding of, and engagement with, environmentally sustainable land management;
– Improve the level of skills to allow land managers and associated individuals to deploy measures to improve sustainability;
– Provide an integrated, consistent, targeted, high quality and cost-effective advisory, and information service to farmers/land managers, and their advisers;
– Provide adaptive capacity to meet differing farm and forestry advice and information needs and volumes of activity;
– To deliver a more integrated, streamlined and efficient approach to providing advice on the environment in England.
