United Kingdom-Didcot: IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support – Framework Lead

The current contract for IT services: consulting, software development, Internet and support – Framework Lead is projected to end on 07-APR-19 and may be available for retender. Service Hosting Infrastructure.
In this procurement, JSL seeks to establish a more standardised, reliable and economically favourable hosting environment for our services. Through a competitive dialogue procurement process we intend to explore the full range of possible solutions, and as we currently understand the market, these options will include:
1. ‘Conventional’ cloud hosting – standard commodity compute and storage options for ‘back office’ type functions;
2. ‘Specialised’ cloud hosting – compute and storage for services that require direct customer interaction at volume, certified security contexts, multiple fixed NAT-free IP addressed estates, or otherwise challenge the standard cloud model;
3. Private cloud infrastructure – A dedicated hardware virtualisation layer hosted on Janet in a JSL data-centre delivering at least equivalent functionality to the cloud alternatives described above.
