United Kingdom-London: Construction consultancy services – Framework Lead

The current contract for Construction consultancy services – Framework Lead is projected to end on 14-APR-19 and may be available for retender. Contract for the Provision of a Defra Technical Adviser for the Thames Tideway Tunnel Project.
The Thames Tideway Tunnel (TTT) will tackle unacceptable sewage discharges into the tidal river Thames. It is a large and complex project, with a capital value exceeding 4 000 000 000 GBP. It will be delivered in the private sector by an Infrastructure Provider (IP), backed by a package of contingent Government financial support (referred to as the Government Support Package or GSP).
The Defra Technical Advisor (DTA) will provide Defra (the lead Government department for the TTT) with expertise in major engineering and construction projects. The DTA role will include analysing the quarterly information and data provided by the IP and the project’s Independent Technical Adviser to assess progress in construction of the TTT. The DTA will alert Defra to potential problems (including construction delays and issues that may cause potential claims under the GSP) and advise on steps that Defra should take better to understand and mitigate risks.
