Former church is being turned into homes
A former Catholic church in Liverpool is being converted into affordable homes. Work is underway on the £2.7m project to convert the former St Bernard’s Catholic church on Kingsley Road in Toxteth, into 16 affordable homes. Award winning charity Housing People, Building Communities (HPBC) will work in partnership with Onward (formerly Liverpool Housing Trust) to create eleven three-storey townhouses within the shell of the church, which dates back to 1901.
