Flats development off Great Horton Road approved – without need for developer to provide affordable units
Plans to build a development of flats on a brownfield site off Great Horton Road have been approved by Bradford Council. But officers said the scheme, of 18, one-bedroom apartments, would not need to include any affordable housing after developers PN Bakes Architectural Consultancy argued that including the three affordable units normally required for a scheme of this size would make the development “unviable.”The vacant site, South of 607 Great Horton Road, is next to the former Taison Lighting Warehouse, which has planning permission for 24 dwellings.
