Flats planned for city library
Plans to build a new library building with 24 flats have been submitted to Plymouth City Council.Under the plans, the St Budeaux Library would be demolished to make way for a new building, providing 5,242 sq ft of accommodation for the library as well as 17 one-bed flats and seven two-bed flats.The application comes from Land Development SW with plans put together by AJM Building Design.It is envisioned by the developer that profits from the housing element would cover the cost of the library element.Plymouth City Council will consider the plans in due course.
