About the Opportunity:
The Awarding Authority requires a supplier to provide circa 300 number JNA type box wagons (or similar) during the first and second quarter of 2020. Approximately 100 number wagons will be required to be delivered by May 2020 with the remainder being delivered by August 2020. Currently, The Awarding Authority are not imposing any restrictions in terms of the methodology/mechanism for supply (i.e. leasing, purchasing, repurposing, refurbishing or a combination of the aforementioned), whereby we remain open to proposals/suggestions. Suppliers are encouraged and invited to respond to this advertisement, however it should be noted that there is some essential/critical criteria that each supplier will be required to meet as a minimum in order to progress to prequalification. About the buyer’s selection process:
Following responses to this CompeteFor advert, suppliers will be shortlisted and successful suppliers will be invited to prequalify for a competitive tender for the works and services, whereby final selection will be based upon a balanced scorecard assessment. The criteria of this assessment will consider quantitative and qualitative evidence supplied by tenderer’s.
About the buyer:
The Awarding Authority is an unincorporated joint venture between Skanska, Costain and Strabag working on HS2 main works civil engineering contract, currently in the Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) stage for Section 1 and Section 2 of the planned HS2 route. Skanska and Costain have a long history of successfully delivering civil engineering projects together in the UK, dating back 30 years.
