Wolves aiming for training ground extensions approval
Newly promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers have applied for permission for two extensions at its training ground.If approved by Wolverhampton City Council, the club will carry out the work at the Sir Jack Hayward Training Centre in Compton Park in the close season.The application includes a new two-storey extension adjacent to the front of the existing building to provide “essential” further accommodation for additional medical, rehabilitation, sports science and academy facilities.It also features a new single-storey extension to the rear to provide further medical, training and rehabilitation facilities.The complec, which was constructed in 2005, with the covered pitch being added in 2011, includes 114,721 sq ft of space. The new plans would add 6,081 sq ft of space.A final decision is expected to be made in the coming weeks.
