HDD acquires development land
A Buckinghamshire site that forms part of a 233-home scheme has been bought by Birmingham-based Henry Davidson Developments (HDD).The one-acre site at Haddenham has been snapped up unconditionally from Lands Improvement Holdings (LIH), with bridge funding from Falco Capital.Subject to planning consent, HDD is aiming to develop the site to provide 17 two-bedroom apartments, a Co-op convenience store, and a Bright Horizons Nursery and Preschool. The site forms part of a 158-acre mixed-use development by LIH, which is set to include up to 233 new homes. The plans, which were approved by Aylesbury Vale District Council in 2015, also include a 12-acre extension to the existing Haddenham Business Park, a new community pavilion and sports pitches, open space and a 64-bedroom care home, to be operated by Majesticare Luxury Care Homes.A planning application is set to be submitted in the coming weeks.If approved, HDD expects to start on site at the end of the third quarter of 2018, with practical completion a year later.
