The current contract for Windows, doors and related items – Framework Lead is projected to end on 13-MAY-19 and may be available for retender. PVC-u Materials (Profiles and Ancillaries).
Industrial Services Group is a wholly owned part of Bradford Council that manufactures, supplies and installs a range of PVC-u windows, PVC-u doors, composite doors in PVC-u frames and structural curtain walling products to the construction and social housing markets. A key material supplied into this service is the range of PVC-u profiles and ancillaries that are used to construct the products we supply to our customers.
The Council is seeking tenders from Suppliers who are interested in becoming a supply partner and can supply a full range of PVC-u materials that will allow Industrial Services Group to manufacture casement, tilt/turn, fully reversible windows, and composite door and fire check door frames.
The Supplier will also have the capability to take design responsibility for, and to fully support the design, manufacture and supply of, structural curtain walling products.
The profile suite to be supplied shall be a bevelled type and must be in a colour to match or be the equivalent of RAL9016. The profiles must also be certified to BS EN 12608 to a minimum standard of M 11 B for the lifetime of the contract and this must be stamped onto all products.
Approved Suppliers must provide global accreditations for their products for the following standards: Secured by Design, PAS24:2012, BS7412.
The Council is looking for a Supplier who will be able to provide global assessments for the products they supply, such that it will not be necessary for the Council to have to carry out any product testing beyond that necessary to maintain its own product accreditations.
