Job-creating major warehouse scheme tipped for green light
More than 100 jobs look set to be created after plans for a major warehouse to be constructed in Birmingham were recommended for approval.Hermes Investment Management is behind the bid for the land at Erdington Industrial Park in Chester Road.If approved by Birmingham City Council at a meeting on Thursday 7 June, the new building would have permission to be used for business, general industrial and storage or distribution.The single-storey warehouse would also feature a two storey office building.In total, the warehouse would include 124,861 sq ft of new commercial floor space while there would also be 7,857 sq ft of office space.The former building on the site was demolished in 2012 with the land used as temporary car parking since 2013.
