Pipeline Framework: Chemical dosing plant upgrade & minor civils – Scotland

A pipeline has been launched for Chemical dosing plant upgrade & minor civils – Scotland.The contract start Date is 24 September 2018. Approach to market date is 20 August 2018.Deliverables from this contract are majorly chemical dosing, as well as elements of mechanical & electrical works to refurbish existing facility and minor civil building works at a site in Scotland It is anticipated that the new service will be organised in two packages (which could be issued as one) Packages 1 – Chemical Dosing Plant Upgrade This will be for the complete refurbishment of an existing Chemical Dosing Facility including design and installation. Currently the facility uses Sodium Hydroxide 47% (Caustic Soda). The Coal Authority driver is to improve efficiencies and be fully compliant from a Safety Health and Environmental perspective.The works will also include other building services upgrades.Input and advice for HAZOP will be required.Packages 2 – Minor Civil WorksThis would be for minor civil works in connection with the Chemical Dosing Upgrade which will include a new chemical delivery area; building modifications for package 1.It is anticipated that both packages will run concurrently with a high degree of coordination between both. Suppliers are welcome to bid for both elements.Anticipated time lines will be for issue of tender August/September 2018 and for all works to be complete April 2019.We would like to invite enquiries from interested parties so as to enable them to better understand our requirements.This is a potential opportunity from the government, and the pipeline gives advance notice of an opportunity that might be offered by the public sector in the future – allowing potential suppliers to plan accordingly.
