Plans backed for Runcorn industrial scheme
Plans to regenerate a huge industrial site in Runcorn have been given the go-ahead.Halton Borough Council’s executive board has backed the preparation of a masterplan and strategy to guide the works at Astmoor Industrial Estate, which has been identified as “underperforming compared to other local employment areas such as Manor Park”.This has been attributed to Astmoor struggling to meet modern business needs due to a concentration of older and smaller commercial premises and its dated design and layout.
