Central Square scheme moves forward
Developer Ashall Projects has moved a step forward with its Centre Square development in Middlesbrough.Hoardings have now been installed around the site with the 14-month build programme due to commence imminently. Ashall Projects gained planning consent for the 210,000 sq ft project in May 2017.The mix of grade A office accommodation and leisure use including bars and restaurants will be located alongside the Centre Square’s art gallery MIMA and new Holiday Inn Express.Ashall Projects has worked with Middlesbrough Council to create a scheme that it is hoped will attract employers to about 210,000 sq ft of modern office space.The development will cater for up to 1,500 employees.Offices will be delivered in phases, with full planning permission in place for the first stage, and outline permission secured for the second.
