Linton and Henika get mixed-use green light in Battersea

The joint venture between Linton Group and Henika Group has secured planning permission for a mixed-use 10-storey office building in Battersea.The project will be the first major planning consent for the partnership between Henika and Linton, which is primarily focused on commercial sites in London and the South East. Last year, the duo completed the refurbishment of 9-11 Wellesley Road in Croydon before forming a longer-term JV.At 6-10 Ingate Place, the JV has been granted consent for a 10-storey building comprising of office space to accommodate co-working, small and medium sized enterprises, along with some light industrial space on the ground floor together with a café.The overall site, which extends to 0.38 acres, is within 100m of Queenstown Road Station and will benefit from the opening of the nearby new underground station, which will provide an extension of the Northern line, in 2021.The Greater London Authority (GLA) had previously identified 6-10 Ingate Place as within the Vauxhall, Nine Elms, Battersea Opportunity Area. The site is also within a Strategic Industrial Location (SIL), as identified in the GLA’s London Plan, which identifies key areas that can provide workspace for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs).
