Green light expected for housing assocations new bases
Two new bases for a housing association in Worcester, which will have space for more than staff, have been recommended for approval.Fortis Living is seeking permission from the city council for a 14,994 sq ft two-storey office and a similar-sized light industrial, storage and distribution building in Great Western Avenue.The applicant currently provides services out of Progress House, off Midland Road, immediately to the north west of the application site, and Festival House, Grovewood Road, Malvern.If approved, the two new buildings will have room for 139 full-time equivalent staff. A prior version of the scheme was approved by the council in November 2017.The authority is set to make a final decision on the plans at a meeting on Thursday 19 July.
