£4.9m hotel extension begins
Construction of a £4.9m extension and redevelopment project at a Leicestershire hotel has begun.Nottingham-based contractor J Tomlinson is leading the scheme at Quorn Grange Hotel, near Loughborough.A total of 24 additional rooms, an expanded function room, new meeting facilities and new offices are being created. In addition, J Tomlinson is also building ten new homes at the site, which is owned by the GFTU Educational Trust.The work is the latest in a series of improvements and upgrades at the hotel in Quorn and follows refurbishment of the bar and restaurant areas.The contract is expected to take a year to complete. When the work is finished, the hotel aims to achieve a four-star rating.The architect for the scheme is Corstorphine + Wright.
